Every month, the Department of State releases the Visa Bulletin. This bulletin is crucial for individuals navigating the Green Card application process, as it determines the progression of the process.
We highly recommend monitoring the Visa Bulletin and Adjustment of Status Filing Charts regularly, as monthly updates can significantly impact your application strategy.
Please note that for the month of August:
- USCIS has confirmed that it will continue to rely on the Final Action Dates chart for adjustment of status filings to permanent residence;
- Those residing overseas will rely on the Dates for Filing chart to determine whether their priority date is current and their cases can proceed with scheduling at the U.S. Consulate in August;
- In August, the only change is the advancement of the date in the 2nd preference category for India from June 15, 2012, to July 15, 2012.
